When you first look at Plusword, you may find the game similar to a famous Crossword. Both puzzle games challenge players to figure out hidden words in the game via the descriptions given in advance. For this reason, you may find that Plusword is nothing different from Crossword.
However, this is because you haven't started to play the game. The "Plus" element in the name really brings something more exciting to the game. After solving all the words vertically and horizontally, you will have an extra secret word to use to finish the challenge. The colored hints for the extra word will remind you of the famous wordle game.
As mentioned above, Plusword is much like the Crossword game except for one special feature, so the layouts of the two are relatively similar. You can notice a 5x5 grid, which is the spot for you to put your guessed words in. Consequently, you must come up with 5-letter English words and try your best within no more than 5 guesses to find out all the words of the game.
On the right side of the grid, you can notice the descriptions relevant to the hidden words. To pick a word suitable for the description, click on the line or the square with the number in the top left corner.
Notably, the word you guess must align with the descriptions, and its letters can be useful to build up another word matching another description. This is the toughest mission of Plusword.
Furthermore, the game is even harder when it doesn't tell you whether your guessed word is correct. As a result, if you go for the wrong word, it will affect all of your later guesses with other descriptions, and your try will be a waste of time.
After finding out all the across and down words, you must use the letters placed in the colored spots to find the extra word for the game. Once again, you have to make sure that all the guessed words are correct, or else you will never get the Plus word.
The letters used for the extra word will be put in colored boxes according to your word guesses. Each color has a separate meaning:
